The interaction of COVID-19 with co-existing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is a perfect storm, particularly for communities of poverty. As COVID-19 continues to spread, It is not too late to address the underlying drivers of morbidity and mortality – and focus prevention efforts on people suffering from NCDs.
